Principle has continued its established working relationship with BMW by implementing a new branded sales platform at dealerships across Europe, ahead of the launch of the BMWi electric car range in autumn 2013.

In the two months before the high-profile launch of the German car manufacturer’s first series-produced electric vehicle, our car showroom fit-out teams installed the new platform in 190 dealerships.

The work involved project managing the rollout of the displays and all the associated IT elements, together with the installation of the platforms themselves, complete with furniture, graphics, lighting and electronic equipment.

Clever product design, comprehensive planning and liaison with the dealerships meant the platforms could be fitted quickly and with the minimum of disruption, allowing showrooms to stay open and trade as normal during the installations - as can be seen in the time-lapse video of the work at Soper of Lincoln, UK, below.

The project is set to continue with 300 implementations at BMW dealerships across the USA before March 2014, and more than 100 further installations throughout the rest of the world by the middle of 2014.

A market leader in international brand implementation, Principle has a close working relationship with BMW, having been appointed to manage the global rollout of the prestige car manufacturer’s Future Retail dealer showroom concept.

The Future Retail project involves an interior rebrand across the BMW and MINI dealer networks worldwide, with Principle providing project management, warehousing, logistics and installation services to ensure the delivery and consistent implementation of new showroom furniture, marketing communication elements and IT equipment.
